@NaturallyCathy: Cool, I have a PayPal account! Do people generally request money first, or do they send the items first? I'm not sure what the shipping costs will be. And would I just need their email account to request payment? Thanks for your help

@betsyboop: It depends. Some sellers request money and print the ahipping label from PayPal. Some sellers bill after they've already sent it. Some sellers tell the person buying from them to send X amount to their PayPal after they sent it. Lots of different ways.
If you send an invoice, PayPal docks a fee. They take it out of the number you requested, not in addition to what you bill them. If the buyer sends you the money sans invoice and says its family/friend there's no loss of money. It all depends
