We use a cheap-o cell phone service, and they will now let us know old iphones! Yay!

I have a verizon 4S, about 2 years old. Black, 32GB. It is in great shape, no problems. I keep it in an otterbox defender. I was going to look into selling it in 1-2 months since that would be the time it makes sense to join DH's plan (he has AT&T). How soon do you need it?
