@MrsRcCar: What' s your budget (you don't have to share if you don't want to)? I can maybe help narrow down some, or let you know if I've run across anything.

@MrsRcCar: I was wondering about that (if maybe the sling felt a little unsubstantial to him). A 6 should give both of you a great deal of options for different carries. He might really like some of the reinforced carries. I know I appreciate a good, secure carry with a toddler who is big enough to get a little wild, but too small to realize the potential consequences. ;) Has this been helpful?

@Mrs. Twine: I think he would try it. He is pretty open to the idea. The only one reason he doesn't like the sling is because he doesnt feel lie it is secure enough.

@MrsRcCar: I'd look for a base-size wrap. Then you have all your bases covered. The RS will be great for fast up/down, you can learn some "poppable" carries with the wrap if you want to, and you can have the wrap for whatever you find it working best for. Do you think your husband would try the wrap?

@Mrs. Twine: I hip carry mostly in my ring sling. In my ergo I carry both back and front. Mostly I carry N in my ring sling and Dh carries E in the ergo. DH doesn't feel comfortable with the ring sling.

@MrsRcCar: I might start looking for a used Storch. Those are great wraps for heavier babies and toddlers, hold value well, and are totally indestructible. C&C might also be a good choice. How do you think you will carry them primarily? Hip? Back? Front? For naps? And do you anticipate a lot of up/down? If you are thinking more toddler-wearing than infant wearing, a shorter wrap might be a good choice even as a new wrapper. It's a tough call. Obviously if you can only have one, a base-size wrap (typically a six, unless you are quite big or quite small) is always a good choice because it gives the most flexibility.

I can sure help you investigate some options! What age(s) are you looking to find a wrap to use with? Here's one resource I really like-- feel free to ask me to clarify anything. <3 http://wrapyourbaby.com/blog/choosing-the-right-wrap/

I would really like to get more into baby wearing. I have a ring sling and ergo. That being said I would really like to get into wrapping instead. I don't have a local chapter to swap with or ask for help. So I am hoping to connect with someone here!

Thanks in advance!
